Marilyn Monroe does a particularly good job as a psychiatric patient who has just been released from a mental hospital and who has a relapse during an evening of babysitting.

I don't really understand why there are some negative comments here about her acting in this film, because she is very convincing as the young confused woman, Nell.

Richard Widmark plays a rather overly macho, heavy-smoking and whiskey-drinking pilot, who is looking forward to a night with Monroe.

There is a clear erotic atmosphere between Monroe and Widmark.

I found Anne Bancroft only mediocre as a singer, found her playback also quite weak.

This was her movie debut.

I found the film, which takes place almost entirely in a hotel room, to be mediocre.

The film is especially worthwhile because of Monroe's good portrayal.

Good film about a woman with psychological problems who looks after a child in a hotel. This thriller does not want to be really exciting. But the main character is captivating enough and the film certainly does not last too long. Furthermore, an excellent cast, which meant the debut for Anne Bancroft. Marilyn Monroe knows how to convince.

Monroe very convincingly plays the role of a woman who is psychologically not quite right , as soon as Widmark appears in her room it becomes entertaining , he also does his best but she steals the show with her performance .
