Dolores plot
Dolores, a young woman of Scottish descent, returns to the Argentine pampas after her sister dies to care for her eight-year-old nephew. But she also feels very attracted to her childhood sweetheart, her English brother-in-law Jack. The Second World War is developing in the background and is also making itself felt in Argentina. The dispute between Germans and English becomes personal when Dolores is seduced by a neighboring landowner of German descent, Octavio Brandt.
