Ditte Menneskebarn plot
Ditte is an orphaned girl raised by her grandmother. She is adopted by a horse dealer and takes care of the family when the mother is imprisoned for theft. She gets a job on a farm and is seduced by the farmer's son, so that she returns pregnant with her foster parents.
