An emotional family epic that tells the story of Adi and Rudi Dassler, who, as pioneers of their time, follow an entrepreneurial vision together and rise from the small Bavarian Herzogenaurach to become Germany's most ambitious sports shoe manufacturers. But the detail-fixed tinkerer Adi and the energetic salesman Rudi develop increasingly distant visions. The previously harmonious family finds itself increasingly embroiled in a tragic conflict that escalates and leads to the founding of two separate companies.
