Die Schlüssel plot

At Berlin-Schönefeld airport, Ric and Klaus meet a married couple from Krakow, Poland, on their way to Paris. The Polish couple lends them the key to their flat in Krakow to give the Germans a holiday. This journey is a moment for both of them to get to know each other better and to understand each other better. Klaus is a diligent student and Ric an active woman who works in a factory. She is without ambitions and her only dream is to settle down with her husband and children one day. Klaus tries to encourage her to get more out of her life, but his words fall on deaf ears.
