Die Neue plot

Eva is a passionate teacher. One day she gets a new student in her class: Sevda, intelligent, from a good family, and a Muslim by conviction. Sevda claims her right to religious freedom. Soon the class arrangement is changed and afterwards she is also exempted from the gymnastics class. Nothing is what it used to be. For many fellow students, the exceptions to the rules go too far. On the other hand, other girls are now also starting to wear headscarves. The principal feels that school peace is threatened.
