Die Mißbrauchten Liebesbriefe plot
Merchant Viktor Störteler is an amateur poet. He asks his wife Gritli to write love letters to each other during his absence. However, his wife is much too busy and therefore asks the young teacher Wilhelm to write back letters. When he actually writes the letters, Viktor notices the other handwriting. Upon returning home, he reveals his suspicions to his wife, who is offended and makes a fatal decision.
