Die Letzte Runde plot

The intellectual Willie flees his bourgeois-academic environment, leaves his wife, child and job behind him, and leads a wandering life. In Vienna he meets the retired factory worker Josef, who becomes his best friend. Together they drink themselves drunk and wander through the city. Willie tries to visit his ex-wife in Salzburg, but she rejects him. He secretly takes his son Tommi with him and puts him in danger by confronting a shady motorcycle gang. The next day he meets Josef again and travels on with him, leaving Tommi behind.
