During routine leg surgery, Konrad becomes infected with the dangerous hospital bacteria. His wife Maja has a big problem because of this: she has just started her first job as a molecular biologist, in the hospital where Konrad was operated on. The hospital declines all responsibility, even though Konrad is getting worse.
