Die Insel der Silberreiher plot

The late summer of 1918. Paul, Willi and Heinrich from an ancient German town are good friends, even though there is much that divides them. Heinrich comes from an officer family with an army tradition and is preparing for cadet university. Paul's father and grandfather are workers, and Willi, who is self-sufficient, works as a hotel courier. The last year of the war is difficult for everyone, but although Paul and Willi know their own thoughts and do not hesitate to help war refugees Tony and Sepp, everything is more complicated for Heinrich.
