A body has washed up on the North Sea beach. The victim is Alexander, the husband of the handsome Bettina. Although their marriage was not exactly happy, Bettina stayed with him during his severe kidney disease. They had a holiday home together where Bettina regularly withdrew with her lover Tom. This also caused the marriage of Tom and his wife Ulrike to go through a crisis. Everything points to murder, but Officer Maike, who has known the family since her childhood, has her doubts...
