Die Elixiere des Teufels plot

Franziskus became a monk to become an 'equal among equals'. When he doubts his decision and the Church because of his feelings for the beautiful Aurelie, he makes his way to the bishop, but a plot gets him into trouble. The Baroness Euphemie accuses him of the murder of her husband and her son. At her estate, Franziskus meets Aurelie again, but their mutual happiness is short-lived...
