Die Einsiedler plot

Albert grew up in the mountains, on a remote farm. His mother Marianne, who determines his life, wants to help her son out of the poor and lonely existence. He goes to work for a marble quarry, but it remains difficult to work with 'real people'. When his father, Rudl, suddenly dies, Marianne fears Albert will take over the business. She hides his father's death from Albert and the rest of the world and buries Rudl in the garden.
