Twenty-six-year-old Anja Niedringhaus is in a military transport plane en route to Sarajevo, where the war in Yugoslavia has just begun. She had stubbornly convinced her boss at the European Pressphoto Agency to allow her to report from the heart of Europe. On location, there's bitter cold, no electricity, scarce food, and constant danger for everyone.
