At the end of the 1970s, 29-year-old Petra Grust enthusiastically started her job as a biology teacher at the famous Odenwaldschule. However, Petra is soon confronted with the humiliating reality. Teachers of the two sexes huddle in the shower, young students drink alcohol and smoke, and a colleague even has an affair with an underage student. Then Petra makes a truly terrible observation.
