Devil in the Flesh plot

The film is set in Victoria, Australia, during WWII. Paul Hansen is a 17-year-old boy who is still in high school. Marthe Foscari is a 24-year-old married woman. When Paul is introduced to Marthe by their parents, he becomes entranced by her. And her husband is absent, because he was taken prisoner of war. Paul's passion, awkwardly expressed, is nevertheless embraced by Marthe one evening during a raging storm, one that will change their fate forever.
