Desperate Lives plot

"Who's killing young kids with drugs and crime?"

Scott Cameron (Doug McKeon) spends a lot of time with a group of teenagers who use drugs. His sister Sandy (Helen Hunt) is dating Steve (Grant Kramer), a boy who also regularly uses drugs. Many young people in their school have drug problems, but no one wants to admit it. New Dean Eileen Phillips (Diana Scarwid) understands the problems, but many parents think they have the perfect teens. When Steve persuades Sandy to use PCP, she becomes mildly psychotic and is injured. Then things start to get more and more out of hand.
