Desolation Sound plot

"Some secrets should stay buried..."

Laurel has moved to the beautiful but isolated town of Desolation Sound along with her daughter and often absent husband Michael. Their quiet lives are turned upside down when Laurel's old friend Elizabeth unexpectedly visits. Michael doesn't like her arrival, and the reason for this is a secret from the past that Elizabeth wants to confess. However, a fight between the women leads to the death of Elizabeth. Guilt and obsession, however, slowly make Laurel take over Elizabeth's personality.
