Der Zug der Zeit plot

In the 1960s, many West Germans went to Northern Italy to spend their holidays. In the summer there was a mass exodus, which resembled a peaceful invasion across the Alps. Very different people - a masseur, a secretary, a teacher, a sales representative, a hairdresser and the owner of a library for leisure reading - spent their holidays on the campsites along the Adriatic Sea with different motives.
