Der Sommer der Gaukler plot

Summer, 1870. On the way to Salzburg, Emanuel Schikaneder's small theater group is held up in a small mountain village on the border with Austria, because they do not have a permit for the performance. In the village, a dispute between mine owner Pacolli and the miners is escalating. This situation immediately inspires Schikaneder with an idea for a new piece. But soon Schikaneder's actors also revolt, because it seems that he wants to spend more time with the upper class than with his own actors.
