Der Kuckuck und der Esel plot

After the death of his mother, failed writer Conrad Weitzmann made the decision to let the public participate in the heartwarming tale of his parents' love. That is why he writes a romantic script, which he offers to the television to be turned into a film. Although director Stuckradt Halmer seems interested and edited the script several times, Conrad does not feel that his ambitious project - after ten years - is progressing.
