Der Geschmack von Apfelkernen plot
Grandmother Bertha's death brings her three daughters and grandchildren back to their native Bootshaven. They all have special memories of this place, but Iris in particular feels back to her childhood in her grandmother's house. Christa, Iris' mother and Bertha's daughter, are also homesick for this magical place. The smell of fresh apples is omnipresent. Even this scent is part of the magical memories of the house and of Grandma Bertha. In Bootshaven, Iris muses on various stages of her childhood and even meets Max, a good friend from her childhood. But when Iris is told she has inherited the house, she must consider whether to sell it or not. The renewed relationship with her childhood friend Max and the constant memories of the most carefree time in her life do not make the decision any easier.
