Der Geburtstag plot
The story of a married but divorced couple Matthias and Anna who, although the wounds are still open, plan their son Lukas' birthday party together. At the end of the party, when one of the child guests, Julius (6), is not picked up by his parents, it is the start of a fast chain of events. At first, Matthias simply wants to get rid of Julius, but then the helpless boy awakens his protective instincts.
