Der Fischerkrieg plot

The scion of a fishing family, Frieder (Johannes Hermel), has been living and working in the Netherlands for years after an argument with his father Oskar (Johannes Thanheiser). When he is dying and the family is in need, he returns to the family business on Lake Constance. He gets to fight the long-standing feud with brother-in-law Franz (Hans Heinz Moser), a fisherman on the Swiss side of the lake. This is not without merit and he also appears to get along well with Anna (Linda-Sue Lüpke), an orphaned girl who has grown up into a beautiful woman by his family. Then problems arise when his Dutch girlfriend Trix (Hymke de Vries) comes to take a look.
