Der 10. Mai plot

On May 10, 1940, the German army has already invaded the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg when the young German Werner Kramer (Heinz Reincke) flees into Switzerland over the Rhine. Thanks to some helpful people he manages to reach Zurich. There he experiences the reactions of the population who expect an invasion of the Germans at any moment. Fearing to lose their possessions, the wealthy Swiss people travel to Central Switzerland. There the Bundesrat prepares for a possible invasion by the Germans.
