Demony plot

A man with a stack of pulp books arrives in a village in the Poltava region. The villagers know that his name is Slavik, that he comes from Russia, and that he does not drink alcohol. Otherwise, he is just like everyone else. In the village, he meets a sparkling woman. She is a widow named Nina, who produces home-distilled liquor in the village. Nina is about twenty years older than him. She has a past, she is nervous, but her charisma and vitality attract people. Slavik is also drawn to her. It is not easy for them to be together. She loves him passionately and is jealous.
