In this biography, Christine Laurent films the life of Delmira Agustini (1886-1914), a celebrity in female poetry in Latin America. A member of the Uruguayan aristocratic class, Agustini spent her short life in opulent country houses. Here she had plenty of space to write her titillating, erotic poems. Laurent focuses mainly on the whimsical love life that formed the basis of Agustini's work. Her relationship with the possessive Enrique Job Reyes went through ups and downs. He wants to marry her, but she has doubts, and must also compete with her domineering mother.
