De Vitusdans plot

In a small village, three people are pitted against each other. A lawyer has a friendly relationship with the doctor's wife. A young man, who is visiting his mother for a few days, begins to turn this relationship into a romantic affair. He writes letters to the young woman, in which he tells her that the lawyer is madly in love with her. He follows and spies on the couple and exploits every opportunity to make them end up in each other's arms.
