De Tasjesdief plot
The film tells the story of a twelve-year-old boy who is forced by his grandmother's robbers to steal women's purses. For fear of retaliation, he does not dare to tell anything about the events at home and gradually ends up in isolation. Meanwhile, the ruthless robbers continue their harassment and blackmail. When the exasperated boy, mellowed by the affair, steals five hundred guilders from a defenseless blind woman, he realizes that he has gone way too far. He decides to take matters into his own hands and deal with his attackers once and for all.

Far too sentimental film that, despite its reasonable concept, is terribly worked out. The beginning is already very annoying. Typically such a film that necessarily retains the drama, and does not try to take any other route. The scenes are very slow and just not fun to watch.
The cast is worse than bad (yes, the adults too) and the ending scene was anything but satisfying.
Simply so Bad!

When I was a bit younger I often saw De Purse Thief . At the time, the film impressed me, and now it was anything but boring. The story is well put together and it is quite exciting. The acting is not very special, although I found Aus Greidanus Jr. stand out in a positive way. Pretty good for a kids movie.
