Das Vergessene Leben plot

When the elderly, catatonic Sophia (Inge Meysel) is brought into a psychiatric hospital, medical student Axel (Florian Lukas) sees her as his ideal project to show what he can do. With great difficulty he makes contact with her and gets a suspicion where this woman comes from. He takes her in tow and sets out in search of her family, but soon encounters difficulties dealing with a schizophrenic.
