"You want to look away, but you cannot."
The architect and head of the family, Markus Larsen secretly has his bisexual tendencies, while his wife Christine and his 11-year-old daughter Elisabeth languish in unbearable loneliness. When Markus gets to know his colleague's 12-year-old son, he is attracted to the boy. Slowly Markus begins to approach Johannes and he creates an intimacy where he increasingly loses control. While Markus's wife and daughter take the brunt of their symbiotic relationship, Johannes plays his own secret game that ultimately leads to disaster for every member of the family.
