Das Falsche Gewicht plot

An ex-serviceman, Anselm (Helmut Qualtinger), is hired as a calibration master in a dingy hamlet. He tries to act in his new job with the same discipline and honesty as in the army, which is not appreciated by the local population. The calibration master's marriage has also seen better days, and the man faces the specter of having to spend his days in the hamlet until death.
