Darah dan Doa plot
After the suppression of the uprising of communist rebels, the Siliwang Division is at peace. Their leader, Captain Sudarto, meets an Indonesian woman, but they soon have to say goodbye after the Dutch attack Yogyakarta. Sudarto leads his men, together with women and children, in a journey of more than 200 kilometers, during which they have to deal with hunger, shortages and Dutch air raids. Along the way, Sudarto falls in love again.
