Dar Ghorbat plot
Turkish immigrant Husseyin spends his days in a mesmerizing routine as a “guest worker” in 1970s West Berlin. He lives in a small shared apartment and commutes daily to his job at a factory where he presses machine parts. He diligently saves his wages, hoping to one day marry and buy a home in his home country, but his immediate future in Berlin is clouded by humiliation at the hands of racist coworkers and failed attempts at romantic intimacy. With only his immigrant housemates as a patchwork quilt, Husseyin endures with quiet dignity in the face of an alienating land.
