Dao Cao Ren plot
During the last days of Japanese rule in Taiwan, men from a village are recruited into the Japanese army. As the Allies gain the upper hand in the war, Taiwan is bombarded, but not as heavy as Japan. This piece of history is shown from the life of two brothers in the countryside, their family and the rest of the village.
