"A Gripping Melodrama as Timely as To-day's Headlines!"
During a strike at the silk factories in Paterson, New Jersey, John King falls under the spell of the Bolshevik agitator Sophia Guerni. When Guerni and her accomplice Boris Blotchi decide that their next target will be the peaceful attack on the Weston shipyards, John agrees, even though his childhood sweetheart May Weston runs the factory and also supports John's poor father, Dr. King. However, when John hears how his accomplices are extorting money from May, he decides to intervene.
