Dancing in the Dark plot

"Where Fantasy Ends and Nightmares Begin."

Anna (Victoria Principal) is a ballet teacher and has had a tough year. Her mother passed away and she just had her second miscarriage. When she complains to her husband about her father-in-law's (Robert Vaughn) pawing, he thinks she's overreacting and suggests she see a psychiatrist. Her father-in-law abuses this and even ensures that she ends up in an institution. This is supposedly an open attitude, but it soon becomes completely cut off from the outside world.
