Crime and Punishment plot
In 19th-century St. Petersburg, the young do-gooder Rodja (Dempsey) walks around with loads of good ideas, but he has no money to spare. When his debts pile up, his girlfriend (Delpy) goes into prostitution out of necessity and his sister wishes to enter an unhappy marriage with a rich man, he kills his creditor and his sister.
