All-American football star Elroy "Crazylegs" Hirsch plays himself in this biography. The film follows Hirsch's high school years and the University of Wisconsin. After his military service, Hirsch becomes a professional player and eventually joins the LA Rams. Sidelined by an injury that jeopardizes his future as an athlete, “Crazylegs” is making a spectacular comeback.
