Cortafuego plot

After her husband's death, Mara travels with her daughter Lide, her brother-in-law Luis, his wife Elena, and their son to the family's summer house in the woods. They want to prepare the house for sale and finally heal old wounds. What should have been a simple farewell quickly turns into a nightmare when her daughter disappears without a trace in the woods after an argument. The situation becomes critical when an uncontrollable forest fire breaks out. The Guardia Civil is forced to abandon the search for the girl and announce an immediate evacuation. However, Mara refuses to leave. The family decides to brave the fire and enter the forest to search for her.

A cringe-inducing film on Netflix with a mediocre story, lots of shouting, shaky camerawork, and bad actors who all seem to be schizophrenic. The screen also regularly zooms in and out. Why? No idea. Feel free to skip this one. A waste of time!

I didn't go into this with high expectations, due to the many bad reviews. But despite that, I thought it was a pretty good film with plenty of suspense, and I think Belen is a really good actress.

Not that mistakes weren't made, and not everything was equally believable, but I absolutely appreciated this film.

This was finally a decent suspenseful film on Netflix for me, I'd say more of that!

Pretty good, with forest fires and a sort of thriller plot thrown in. It doesn't quite work, but it's a smooth watch on a Sunday evening
