"The Girl Who Married To Get Away from Love!"
Store owner Mary Brown loses her childhood sweetheart Aubrey to a rich lady. Journalist Steve "Rollo" Porter in turn loses his love Elaine, who marries another. Mary and Rollo befriend and begin a marriage of convenience based on their shared loss. But then their exes come back into their lives and they have to decide how they want to move on.
