Confession plot

Moscow, 1938. The disillusioned former literature professor Alexei is arrested on suspicion of conspiring with a priest who opposes Stalin's regime. In the notorious Lubyanka prison, he is interrogated by Vladimir, a former student who is now a military officer and tries to force him to betray the priest. As the pressure mounts, Alexei refuses to abandon his convictions and is confronted with his own past, his faith, and the price he is willing to pay to save others.
