Condannatelo! plot

Ferdinando, an innkeeper, marries the young and frivolous Carmela after the death of his first wife. Carmela and her lover Lucio have killed someone during a theft and try to shift the suspicion onto Ferdinando. Thanks to his daughter Caterina, who has been deaf-mute since her own mother's death, the adultery is discovered and Ferdinando's innocence is proven.
