Choices of the Heart plot

El Salvador, Central America in 1980. Jean Donovan, a young Catholic missionary, meets her friends at the San Salvador airport. What was supposed to be a joyous meeting turns into disaster. During the journey by car, they are stopped and threatened by bloodthirsty units of the Salvadoran National Army. Two days later their bodies are found: dead. An example of the ominous situation in the powder keg of Central America. This film shows how young Jean Donovan ended up here, unaware of what awaited her in that dangerous country: El Salvador.
