Egor is a fearless state forest ranger in the Siberian Taiga. He is a good family man, respected by his fellow villagers. He and his wife Natalia are expecting a second child. But one day, Egor finds out that he has cancer and has only two months to live. No traditional medicine or shamanic magic can save him. There are no other options and eventually he makes a desperate attempt to fool death. Egor chooses to take a woman's identity as a way to fight the disease. His family and local society must now accept his new person.
