Charlatan plot
Jan Mikolasek was an herbalist who devoted his life to caring for the sick, despite the immense obstacles he faced in his private and public life. Born at the beginning of the twentieth century, Mikolasek achieved fame and fortune with unorthodox methods of treatment to cure a wide variety of diseases. Even before World War II, the healer gained reputation and wealth in Czechoslovakia, both during the Nazi occupation and under Communist rule. Both regimes wanted to use his skills and offer protection in return. But what would be the cost to maintain this status if the tide turned?
