Cha-i-na-ta-un plot
"Survival is no longer a choice."
A beggar finds an abandoned baby in a locker at Western Seoul train station in 1996. He takes her and names her Il-Jong. When she is 10 he sells her to a woman known only as Mother. Mother runs a pawn shop and an organ trade syndicate in Incheon's Chinatown. When she turns 18, she has become Mother's trusted right-hand man. One day she gives her a task. She must approach Suk-hyun, the son of a debtor. Over the course of several days, she befriends him and is exposed to a world she never knew existed.
