Centaur plot

Partly paralyzed by polio, Vlado is unable to take care of himself, leaving him trapped in his flat. His younger wife Alma helps him with love and tenderness and never gives up hope for recovery. However, Vlado feels weak and humiliated, the motivation to perform his exercises or take his medicines has completely disappeared. Despite the love and intimacy between the couple, his self-loathing leads to Alma's rejection. Tormented by visions of half man, half horse, Alma considers alternative methods to change their situation.
