Céline plot
Céline is an orphan and heiress to a wealthy publisher. Under pressure from her stepmother, she does not accept the inheritance, whereupon her greedy friend abandons her. She turns to drugs and wants to commit suicide. She is eventually rescued by a nurse who moves in with her.
