Cecilia of the Pink Roses plot
A poor bricklayer discovers a new kind of brick. Meanwhile, his wife is dying, but the doctor does not want to treat her because he is afraid that the bill will not be paid. Their daughter Cecilia works in the house all day and takes care of her smaller brother. While her father is putting his brick into production, her mother dies. Although Cecilia and her family now live in the upper class, she is a lot more unhappy than before.
